Terms of service

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These terms explain the rules for using TalkMaxxing. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. Who can use TalkMaxxing

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use the app.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple. Please keep access to that account secure, as you're responsible for what happens on your TalkMaxxing account.

3. Using the app fairly

Please don't:

The free version includes a limited number of new lessons each day. We may change these limits.

4. Feedback is guidance, not a guarantee

Mic's feedback is generated automatically using speech recognition and AI. It can sometimes mishear you or get things wrong. It's there to help you practise, and it is not professional coaching or advice. We can't promise any particular result, like getting a job.

5. Your content

Your recordings and what you say belong to you. You give us permission to process them only to provide the app to you, as explained in our privacy policy.

6. Our content

The TalkMaxxing app, lessons, mascot (Mic) and design belong to us. You can use them for your own personal practice.

7. Changes and availability

TalkMaxxing is still growing, so features may change, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we'll let you know in the app.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using TalkMaxxing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

9. Our responsibility to you

The app is currently free and provided "as is". Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for loss of business or income.

10. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
